The Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves will square off against the St. Bernard Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Wiseburn- Da Vinci turned things around against Artesia on Saturday. They skirted past the Pioneers 5-4.
David Holliday made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Wiseburn- Da Vinci is 3-1 when Holliday allows one or fewer hits, but 9-11 otherwise. Holliday was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.

St. Bernard came out on top against Serra on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run seventh inning. The Vikings put the hurt on the Cavaliers with a sharp 11-1 win.
Juan Sandoval spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Lorenzo Davis was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Royce McKenzie, who went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, one run, and one double.
The victory got Wiseburn- Da Vinci back to even at 12-12. As for St. Bernard, they now have a winning record of 13-12.
Wiseburn- Da Vinci came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Bernard in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 10-9. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
