For the second straight game, Damien will face off against Rancho Cucamonga. The Spartans will head out on the road to  face off against  the Cougars  at 3:15  p.m.  on Wednesday.

The Spartans had just enough and edged out the Cougars  5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Spartans have posted  since April 16th.

 The  victory made it two in a row for Damien and  bumps their season record up to 14-13. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4  runs in those games. As for Rancho Cucamonga, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-9 record  this season.
