Baseball Recap: Four Straight Road Victories for Lafayette Christian

While Lafayette Christian put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Trinity Christian School of Griffin. The Lafayette Christian Cougars were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Trinity Christian School of Griffin LIONS. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by seven runs or more this season.

Cody Batastini was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Childree, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Lafayette Christian pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Trinity Christian School of Griffin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lafayette Christian will square off against Southern Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Trinity Christian School of Griffin, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Trinity Christian School of Griffin LIONS challenge Peachtree Academy Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
