It's playoff time, and Acalanes had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Rancho Cotate Cougars on Saturday as they made off with a 7-1 victory. The win was nothing new for the Dons as they're now sitting on four straight.
Brady Quinn tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, James Stadt was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jimmy Cusumano, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Acalanes kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rancho Cotate only managed four hits.
Acalanes' victory bumped their record up to 17-10-1. As for Rancho Cotate, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-13.
As of now, neither Acalanes nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
