Jeannette is 0-4 against Clairton since October of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Jeannette Jayhawks will look to defend their home court against the Clairton Bears at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Monday, Jeannette was able to grind out a solid victory over Springdale, taking the game 48-36.
Jeannette's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Adriana Allison, who scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Allison has scored at least 25% of Jeannette's points. Mary Jones was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Clairton didn't have too much trouble with South Allegheny on the road on Thursday as they won 58-42. 58 seems to be a good number for Clairton as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
The losses dropped Jeannette to 1-2 and Springdale to 0-2.
