The Northwestern Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 22 points or more this season. They breezed by Titusville at home to the tune of 52-12. Winning may never get old, but Northwestern sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Northwestern found their leader in underclassman Makayla Presser-Palmer, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Presser-Palmer has scored at least 25% of Northwestern's points. Rylee Schwartz was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Northwestern has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Titusville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwestern will take on Mercyhurst Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Titusville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North East at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. North East is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
