The Brockway Rovers lost against the DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Brockway ended up on the wrong side of a rough 56-36 walloping at the hands of DuBois Central Catholic. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Brockway in their matchups with DuBois Central Catholic: they've now lost six in a row.
Brockway's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Sophia Schmader, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and five steals, and Rheanna Spinda who scored 11 points along with three steals. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her.
Brockway now has a losing record at 2-3. As for DuBois Central Catholic, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brockway has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Curwensville at 12:00 p.m. on December 18th. DuBois Central Catholic won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Warren at 7:30 p.m. on December 14th.
