Softball Recap: Mcintosh Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Whitewater, McIntosh was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Langston Hughes Panthers 13-1. Considering the Chiefs have won ten contests by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

McIntosh has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Langston Hughes, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McIntosh will head out to square off against Northgate at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Chiefs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Langston Hughes, they will take on Banneker at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.22 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
