The Alliance Bulldogs can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 46-35 win over Gordon-Rushville. The win was just what Alliance needed coming off of a 56-29 defeat in their prior contest.
Haley Johnson and Mckinley Grover certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Johnson scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Grover scored ten points along with nine rebounds and two steals. That was a full 48.6% of Gordon-Rushville's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Alliance's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Gordon-Rushville, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4.
Alliance will take on Ogallala at TBD on Friday. As for Gordon-Rushville, they will head out on the road to square off against Mullen at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Mullen is on a three-game streak of home losses, Gordon-Rushville a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
