The Lynbrook Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Harker Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Lynbrook managed to slip by Cupertino the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Vikings came up short against the Pioneers on Thursday, falling 8-2.
Lynbrook got a good showing from Cameron Chao, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Chao has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, William Tai was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Fong, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Harker came tearing into last Thursday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Rams by a score of 6-1.
Shaurya Jain spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 15 Ks.
At the plate, Matt Macmillan and Ryan Pham did most of the damage at the plate: Macmillan went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base, while Pham went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most RBI Pham has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Pedro Castro, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.
Harker hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive games.
Harker's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Lynbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Lynbrook has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Harker struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Lynbrook was able to grind out a solid victory over Harker in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 12-7. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
