Deweyville is 3-0 against Sabine Pass since October of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Deweyville Pirates will be playing at home against the Sabine Pass Sharks at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Deweyville has three straight wins, Sabine Pass has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Deweyville can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They claimed a resounding 52-14 victory over Hull-Daisetta on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-8.
Deweyville had a senior duo take command as Cj Milton rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries and Elijah Curl rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Milton was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 66 yards.
Meanwhile, Sabine Pass took a serious blow against Lovelady on Friday, falling 64-7. While losing is never fun, Sabine Pass can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 1202nd, while Lovelady is ranked 514th).
Deweyville's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 42.67 points. As for Sabine Pass, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
