Pepperell and Callaway are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. The Dragons will host the Cavaliers at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Pepperell 3.9, Callaway 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Callaway will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Pepperell extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. Everything went the Dragons' way against Trion as they made off with an 18-2 victory. Considering the Dragons have won 14 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Cade Middleton was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on JP Kilgo, who fired off two home runs and eight RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Kaleb Davis was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Callaway has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.88 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Morgan County.
Luke Taylor and Slade Hunt did some serious damage despite the final result: Taylor scored a run while going 1-for-4, while Hunt scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Callaway has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-9 record this season. As for Pepperell, their win bumped their record up to 19-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Pepperell has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Callaway struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Pepperell took their victory against Callaway in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 8-2 score. Do the Dragons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cavaliers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
