The Campbell Hall Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They suffered a tough 52-31 loss at the hands of Vista PEAK Prep. While losing is never fun, Campbell Hall can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 604th in California, while Vista PEAK Prep is ranked 68th in Colorado).
Vista PEAK Prep found their leader in underclassman Knakai Starks, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. Starks continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jade Hibbler, who scored six points.
Campbell Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Vista PEAK Prep, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Campbell Hall and Crossroads will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Lulu Chahinian and Lailaa Williams. Vista PEAK Prep won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mountainside at 2:40 p.m. on December 21st. Mountainside is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
