South Stokes knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Surry Central likes a good challenge.
Even though Reagan scored an imposing 68 points on Tuesday, South Stokes still came out on top. South Stokes walked away with a 77-68 victory over Reagan.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Surry Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top against North Stokes by a score of 88-81. The win made it back-to-back wins for Surry Central.
Tripp Mcmillen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with 9 rebounds and 7 steals. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ayden Wilmoth, who scored 20 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
South Stokes' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.3 points per game. As for Surry Central, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Everything came up roses for South Stokes against Surry Central in their previous meeting last Tuesday as the team secured a 88-58 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Stokes since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
