Gabrielino hadn't done well against Pioneer recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Gabrielino came out on top against Pioneer by a score of 5-1. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 7-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

The win made it two in a row for Gabrielino and bumps their season record up to 2-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Pioneer, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.

Coming up, Gabrielino will challenge Arroyo at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The game will give Gabrielino their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Pioneer, they are taking a road trip to challenge Rosemead at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Pioneer is facing Rosemead at the right time seeing as Rosemead is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
