Baseball Recap: Peninsula's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Peninsula had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They won by a run and slipped past the Century Centurions 3-2.

TL Mills looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Peninsula's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 3-1 (and 4-9 when he doesn't).

At the plate, Brenden Jarrard was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Edrian Chao also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Peninsula's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Century, they dropped their record down to 12-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Peninsula will face off against West Covina at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Century, they will take on Ontario Christian in a tournament on Wednesday.
