What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played.
In other batting news, Jayci Trimble was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances. Genevieve Casazza was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
Hilmar's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-7. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.75 runs. As for Escalon, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-9.
