The Mountain Empire Redhawks lost against The Cambridge School Griffins back in February of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Mountain Empire suffered a tough 44-22 loss at the hands of The Cambridge School. Mountain Empire has not had much luck with The Cambridge School recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Mountain Empire's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carli McGhee, who scored 8 points. Another player making a difference was Bibi Caceres, who scored 6 points.
Mountain Empire now has a losing record at 1-2. As for The Cambridge School, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain Empire will square off against San Jacinto Valley Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for The Cambridge School, they will head out on the road to face off against Bonsall at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bonsall comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
