Basketball Recap: Superior Sets Scoring Season-High Against Ray

Superior came up into this matchup off a tough 24-point defeat last Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Ray Bearcats by a score of 55-52 on Tuesday. One positive for the Panthers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ray to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jhett Young, who went 6 of 10 en route to 14 points and seven rebounds. Young is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Beede, who posted 11 points and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Superior and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Ray, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Superior didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 78-38 loss against Valley Lutheran on the 4th. As for Ray, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 61-59 defeat against El Capitan on the 5th.
