The Narbonne Gauchos scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took down Rancho Dominguez 61-45. The win was some much needed relief for Narbonne as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Despite the defeat, Rancho Dominguez saw an underclassman step up: Audrey Baker dropped a double-double on 43 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Baker has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikea'lynn Bailey, who scored no points along with ten rebounds and two blocks.
Even though they lost, Rancho Dominguez smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. This was only their 11th loss (out of 16 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Narbonne's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-16. As for Rancho Dominguez, they dropped their record down to 5-14 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Narbonne does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Rancho Dominguez also has no future games currently scheduled.
