The King's Academy has gone a perfect 5-0 against Creekside Christian Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The King's Academy Knights will square off against the Creekside Christian Academy Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Monday, The King's Academy got the win against Heritage Preparatory by a conclusive 14-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.
The team relied heavily on Hayden Beasley, who scored four runs and stole Eight bases. while going 3-for-3. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Joel Martin also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
The King's Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .519. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Creekside Christian Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They put the hurt on Rock Springs Christian Academy with a sharp 12-3 win. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by exactly nine runs.
Carter Mcginnis was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Mcginnis was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, Daylen Williams and Bryce Mccadden did most of the damage at the plate: Williams scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Mccadden scored two runs while going 3-for-5. That's the most hits Mccadden has posted since back in February. Trey Gatlin was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
The King's Academy's record is now 6-4. As for Creekside Christian Academy, their record now sits at 10-4.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. The King's Academy has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. However, it's not like Creekside Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
The King's Academy took their victory against Creekside Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 16-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for The King's Academy since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
