Sierra Vista found their leader in underclassman Cailei Buna, who dropped a triple-double on 30 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Haro, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 18 rebounds.
Workman has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Sierra Vista, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Workman will square off against Nogales at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Nogales and Workman are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Sierra Vista, they will head out on the road to square off against Duarte at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Duarte has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
