Belleview Christian is a perfect 3-0 against Dawson School since December of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Belleview Christian Bruins will head out to square off against the Dawson School Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Belleview Christian is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 63 points on Friday, they were much more limited against Bishop Machebeuf on Tuesday. They took a blow against the Buffaloes, falling 72-29. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Buffaloes are ranked 49th).

Despite their loss, Belleview Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Ryan Reyes, who posted six points and six boards, was perhaps the best of all. Reyes also posted a block, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Justus Cunningham, who had eight points.

Meanwhile, Dawson School fought the good fight in their overtime match against Dayspring Christian Academy on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 54-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Belleview Christian now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Dawson School, their record is now 7-9.

Belleview Christian strolled past Dawson School in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 62-46. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Dawson School's Peter Ernst, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 20 rebounds.
