Baseball Recap: San Ysidro's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact San Ysidro can now relate to. They fell just short of the San Pasqual Golden Eagles by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Antonio Soto was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Soto was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Soto wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Adrik Sanchez, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

San Ysidro's loss dropped their record down to 20-12. As for San Pasqual, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-13.

As of now, neither San Ysidro nor the Golden Eagles have any future games scheduled.
