Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Redan

Redan strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against Drew Charter by a score of 15-12. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Redan let AALIYAH GREEN and JALYN BEY run wild. GREEN went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, two triples, and three runs, while BEY went a perfect 2-for-2 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those two triples gave GREEN a new career-high. Another player making a difference was SIMONE OWENS, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Redan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .679. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .679 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Redan's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Drew Charter, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Redan will square off against Miller Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Wolverines have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season. As for Drew Charter, they will host Coretta Scott King YWLA at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
