The Milton Yellowjackets will face off against the Mt. Abraham Eagles at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Milton has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with four straight defeats, while Mt. Abraham will come in with five straight victories.
Milton duked it out with Enosburg Falls in a bug-themed battle on Friday. The Yellowjackets fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 7-5.

Sawyer DiMario was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Brody Allard was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That run was his first of the season.
Meanwhile, Mt. Abraham made easy work of Missisquoi Valley on Friday and carried off a 13-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.
Like Milton, Mt. Abraham also got a great game from a two-way player: Abe Ready. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ready was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Clark Crary, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lucas Estey, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Mt. Abraham's victory bumped their record up to 7-1-1. As for Milton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
