Basketball Recap: Santee Skates Past Boyd County with Ease

Santee hadn't done well against Boyd County recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Santee Warriors claimed a resounding 59-18 win over the Boyd County Spartans. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 22 points or more this season.

Santee's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aubrinee Tuttle, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten steals. That's the most points Tuttle has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Miley Pike, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 16 rebounds.

Santee was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Boyd County only posted five assists.

Santee is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points over those games. As for Boyd County, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18.

Santee has already played their next game, a 39-32 loss against Chambers/Wheeler Central on the 6th. As for Boyd County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 45-14 defeat against Stuart on the 6th.
