It was a good run, but the Solon Comets unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 52-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Copley. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Solon has scored all season.
Izzy Callaway was her usual excellent self, scoring 15 points for Copley. Kami Ayoup was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Solon's loss ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-1. As for Copley, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with that victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Solon will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Marysville at 2:30 p.m. on December 29th. Copley will be home for the holidays to greet Magnificat at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
