Analy has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Ukiah Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Analy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Analy came up short against Montgomery and fell 40-27. Analy has struggled against Montgomery recently, as their game on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Ava Rosenberg, who scored 11 points along with two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Shawnessy Conway-O'Neill, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Ukiah's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by Cardinal Newman 74-12. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ukiah has scored all season.
Analy's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Ukiah, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.
Analy was able to grind out a solid win over Ukiah in their previous meeting on January 4th, winning 40-32. The rematch might be a little tougher for Analy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
