Compton put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their undefeated season alive. Everything went their way against the Centennial Apaches as the Compton Tarbabes made off with a 12-1 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-4 last Thursday.
Andrew Ruiz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance gave him a new career-low in hits. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Anthony Lopez, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Jacobo, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Compton's record is now 3-0-1. As for Centennial, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
