On Friday, Jeannette beat Mapletown 40-33. The win made it back-to-back wins for Jeannette.
Jeannette's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Venicia Vignoli, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adriana Allison, who scored 13 points.
Jeannette has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Mapletown, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jeannette will face off against St. Joseph at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Joseph will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Mapletown will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Geibel Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th.
