They walked away with a 37-25 victory over Lawrence-Nelson. The squad ran away with 29 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the victory.
Doniphan-Trumbull got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ridley Sadd out in front who scored six points along with nine rebounds and seven steals. Those seven steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Charlee Richter, who scored 15 points.
When it comes to explaining why Lawrence-Nelson lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kara Menke. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Menke scored a full 48% of Lawrence-Nelson's points, the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The victory got Doniphan-Trumbull back to even at 4-4. As for Lawrence-Nelson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
