A Season-Best Performance from Kaleb Fox Leads Marshfield over Ashland
On Friday, Marshfield got the W thanks in part to Kaleb Fox playing the best football he has all season. Fox rushed for 159 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Marshfield moved to 1-5 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak. Fox and Marshfield will welcome Hidden Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Baldwin Came Up Big in Mazama's 34-7 Win
Mazama found a leader in Kristopher Baldwin as the squad took down Hidden Valley on Friday. Hidden Valley had no answer to Baldwin as he rushed for 242 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry.
The win got Mazama back to even at 3-3. Baldwin and Mazama will take on North Bend on Friday.

Hadyn Widdicombe Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Marshfield got the W thanks in part to Hadyn Widdicombe playing the best football he has all season. Widdicombe picked up 116 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 72 yards.
This year, Widdicombe has caught 3 touchdowns while averaging 48 receiving yards per game.

Lucas Folau Puts an End to Marshfield's Losing Streak on Friday
Lucas Folau helped snap Marshfield's six-game losing streak dating back to last season. Folau did his part (and then some), picking up two sacks, forcing a fumble, and making seven total tackles for the 'W'. He is on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in the last four games he's played dating back to last season.
Ashland had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Folau it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Folau saw the Grizzlies), he picked up two sacks, forced a fumble, and made five total tackles.

The second Mazama player making an appearance here is Brody Van Gastel, and for good reason. He rushed for 62 yards, and also threw for 62 yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making four total tackles and defending a pass.
For the season, Van Gastel has thrown 6 touchdowns while averaging 80.5 passing yards per game.
