The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Academy of Aerospace and Engineering in their matchups with Weaver: they've now lost five in a row.
Weaver got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Fazal Khan out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 18 rebounds. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for him. Madden Cupe was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
Academy of Aerospace and Engineering's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2-1. As for Weaver, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Academy of Aerospace and Engineering is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Capital Prep at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th. As for Weaver, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Conard at 6:00 p.m.
