The Methodist Children's Home Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 22 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Valor Preparatory Academy on Thursday as Methodist Children's Home made off with a 61-36 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Methodist Children's Home.
Methodist Children's Home's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elijah Williams led the charge by scoring 16 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Londen Bickham, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Valor Preparatory Academy saw an underclassman step up: Bear Griesemer scored seven points along with five assists. Griesemer has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Maddox Meline was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Methodist Children's Home's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Valor Preparatory Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Methodist Children's Home's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Hill at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Hopefully Hill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Monday. As for Valor Preparatory Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against CenTex HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m.
