Armijo is 0-10 against the Vikings since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Armijo Royals will be playing at home against the Vanden Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Armijo comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last 13 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Friday, Armijo had to suffer through a rough 79-19 loss at the hands of the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, Armijo can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1199th, while the Wildcats are ranked 421st).
Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Vanden's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell to Heritage 62-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Armijo dropped their record down to 2-17 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Vanden, their loss ended a eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-8.
Armijo took a serious blow against the Vikings in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 93-9. Will Armijo have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
