The Arvin Bears can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They breezed by Mira Monte on the road to the tune of 63-24. With Arvin ahead 38-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Leading Arvin to victory were Emily Soto and Roxana Fernandez. Soto scored 12 points along with five assists and five steals, while Fernandez almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine steals. Fernandez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Marianna Ortiz, who scored 11 points.
Arvin's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Mira Monte, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.
Arvin will head out on the road to take on Tehachapi at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mira Monte does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
