The Vallejo Redhawks can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They blew past Hercules 71-15 on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-11.
Jazmine Cardwell continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 15 rebounds. The contest was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. Veekie Head was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds.
Vallejo's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Hercules, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vallejo won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Alhambra at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. Alhambra presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Vallejo in California (Alhambra is ranked 318th, while Vallejo is ranked 901st). As for Hercules, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Deer Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
