The Wasco Tigers lost against the Delano Tigers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Wasco was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 44-43 to Delano. Wasco has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Camila Almanza, who scored 14 points along with six steals. Another player making a difference was Karly Perez, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Among those leading the charge was Delilah Carino, who scored 13 points.
Wasco's loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Delano, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-17.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing McFarland the next time they take the court. Wasco will host McFarland at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, while Delano will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
