The Erie Royals won the last time they faced the General McLane Lancers, and things went their way on Thursday too. Erie secured a 39-33 W over General McLane. Given Erie's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while General McLane is ranked 320th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Erie to victory were Arianah Reap and Draya Neavins. Reap scored nine points along with ten rebounds and three steals, while Neavins scored 13 points along with four steals. Neavins has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played.
Erie is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for General McLane, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Cathedral Prep the next time they take the court. General McLane will head out to face Cathedral Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Erie will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
