While losing is never fun, Capistrano Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1172nd, while Dana Hills is ranked 110th).
Meanwhile, El Toro had to suffer through a rough 62-30 loss at the hands of Dana Hills. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points El Toro has scored all season.
Capistrano Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for El Toro, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.
Capistrano Valley took a serious blow against El Toro in their previous meeting last Thursday, falling 60-14. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Capistrano Valley was down 43-3.
