The Notre Dame Spartans will head out on the road to challenge the Lincoln Leadership Academy Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Notre Dame is ranked 374th, while Lincoln Leadership Academy is ranked 362nd).
Last Wednesday, Notre Dame ended up a good deal behind MMI Preparatory School and lost 45-30. Notre Dame has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Lincoln Leadership Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Friday. They breezed by Lehigh Valley Academy on the road to the tune of 66-15. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Lincoln Leadership Academy has managed all season.
Lincoln Leadership Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Yadira Marshall led the charge by scoring 15 points along with eight steals. Marshall hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was Alania Ortiz, who scored 14 points along with six steals and two blocks.
Notre Dame now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Lincoln Leadership Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.
Notre Dame was able to grind out a solid victory over Lincoln Leadership Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2020, winning 37-24. Will Notre Dame repeat their success, or does Lincoln Leadership Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
