Fields rushed for 56 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Trotter rushed for 60 yards and one score. The dominant performance also gave Fields a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Another big playmaker for South Oak Cliff was Kenneth Young, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something South Oak Cliff proved: they limited Jefferson to a paltry 1.3 yards per carry. Crandall's win came from a few key players South Oak Cliff will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Christian Ingram, who rushed for 79 yards and a pair of TDs. Another player making a difference was Luke Vanlandingham, who threw for 130 yards and one touchdown while completing 80% of his passes.
South Oak Cliff's record now sits at 9-1. As for Crandall, their record is now 7-3.
Thursday's contest might be decided on the ground. South Oak Cliff has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 222.9 rushing yards per game.
