Lebanon is 0-7 against Branson since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Lebanon Yellowjackets will head out on the road to face off against the Branson Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Lebanon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 57th, while Branson is ranked ninth).
Lebanon has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 22 points or more this season. They took their contest at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 78-45 victory over Marshfield. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lebanon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lebanon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Wyatt Carr, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Kelby Vandergrift, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Branson waltzed into Saturday's contest with two straight wins but they left with three. They skirted past Gainesville 68-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Their wins bumped Lebanon to 3-1 and Marshfield to 3-2.
Lebanon came up short against Branson in their previous matchup on Friday, falling 51-45. Can Lebanon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
