On Monday, Shalom Christian Academy was beaten by Allegany 63-28. Shalom Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-13.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Maya Lehman, who scored six points along with three steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Joanna Rheam was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Meanwhile, it's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mercersburg Academy can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Bucs on the road and fell 95-64. Mercersburg Academy's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Shalom Christian Academy's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-6. As for Mercersburg Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 16-7.
Shalom Christian Academy ended up a good deal behind Mercersburg Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, losing 44-30. Can Shalom Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
