The Vacaville Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Lincoln Trojans at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Vacaville's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Lincoln's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Vacaville is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Sacramento on Thursday as Vacaville made off with a 26-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Vacaville got a great performance from Dallas West as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave West a new career-high.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Rome Griego, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Vacaville is undefeated when Griego posts two or more runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Peyton Olds was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.
Vacaville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .659. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Lincoln came up short against Lodi on Friday and fell 8-3. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cooper Conklin was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits.
At the plate, Brady Dobson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.
Vacaville's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Vacaville has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Lincoln struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Vacaville beat Lincoln 3-0 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Vacaville since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
