It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Nutley had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cliffside Park Red Raiders, sneaking past 2-1. That's two games straight that the Raiders have won by just one run.
Nutley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-14 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Cliffside Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-15.
As of now, neither Nutley nor the Red Raiders have any future games scheduled.
