It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences Vipers ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They walked away with a 47-40 win over Panorama. Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Crystal Pasaye was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points. The game was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelina Beshara, who scored 10 points.
Despite the loss, Panorama still got an impressive performance from YESSENIA QUEZADA, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 15 rebounds. QUEZADA scored a full 80% of Panorama's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences' win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Panorama, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences will head out on the road to face off against Sun Valley Magnet at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Panorama, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lakeview Charter at 3:30 p.m. Hopefully Lakeview Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Monday.
