Basketball Recap: Trinity Classical Academy's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

If Trinity Classical Academy was riding high fresh off their 55-28 takedown of Buena on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights lost 80-59 to the Dos Pueblos Chargers on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (55), the Knights still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Trinity Classical Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Noa Pe?a almost dropped a triple-double with 21 points, ten boards, and nine assists. The contest was Pe?a's sixth in a row with at least 17 points. Ellie Carlson was another key player, putting up seven points and five rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Trinity Classical Academy fell to 3-1. As for Dos Pueblos, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Classical Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Oaks Christian at 5:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Dos Pueblos, they will head out to take on San Luis Obispo at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
