Kade Rossiter was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Lemoore let Keelin Shiyomura and Clinton Rhew run wild. Shiyomura went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one double, while Rhew went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those two hits gave Shiyomura a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Shane Chieze, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Lemoore hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Taft struck out seven times.
Lemoore's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Mission Oak, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
Mission Oak came out on top in a nail-biter against Lemoore in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, sneaking past 4-2. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
